![]() It's especially jarring concerning certain biological relationships with one of the characters case in point, Duela, with various questions: If she is Joker's daughter, where in Hell is her mother? If anything, the Joker could've done some morally reprehensible thing to one of the female staff members in Arkham Asylum, which Duela was actually born in, or some random woman in the streets of Gotham City. Exacerbating this tediously plotted and badly written show, is the film's plot and story filled to the brim with plot holes big enough to drive a mad, psychotic truck through and character motivations that make absolutely no sense. But ultimately, none of that matters when "the pieces of the puzzle" fail to connect with audiences on a relatable and psychological manner. With her deviously dark demeanor coupled with the trademark dark humor of her parental namesake, she definitely shines. ![]() The only standouts are Misha Collins as Harvey Dent, who we know will turn into Two-Face at some point and Duela, the Joker's Daughter, admittedly played sublimely by Olivia Rose Keegan. Stephanie Brown, who should've been Batgirl in this iteration, but for some reason, she remains completely in civilian clothes, rather than her sleek and stylish Batsuit relating to the character's secret identity. Turner Hayes, nothing more than a imitation of the previous Robins and Damian Wayne doesn't even come close to the utter badass and ruthless character of Bruce Wayne's son. Nice job packing yourselves on the back, writers. For one, Robin, fighting crime in a laughably cheap, dollar-store costume that has the gall to pass off in the same league as the traditional green and yellow spandex synonymous with the Boy Wonder due to the character being race-swapped for no explicable, apparent reason other than a "checkbox" for "diversity points". For anyone or those who are remotely familiar with the comics, the liberties taken with the source material will be very hard to ignore especially from diehard fans of the Bat-family. The result is a show that was made for nothing else in the hopes of garnering another paycheck from the CW after their "previous job prospects" failed. What the point is that the writers from Batwoman are making a futile attempt to recapture viewers from that awful show with it's new release, titled Gotham Knights not to be confused with the video game adaption of the same name (although, an live-action adaptation of that would've been much better than what we got here), a "superhero" show supposedly set after Batman's apparent "death" that sees a bunch of angsty teens trying to protect Gotham City from crime in Batman's absence and doing a pretty poor job at it with abysmal writing, terrible character development, fight scenes that look like children rehearsing for an afterschool play, acting as stiff as an Victorian mannequin(with the exceptions of Misha Collins and Olivia Rose Keegan) and just that genuine trademark CW blandness. I haven't written any reviews for quite a while on this site you could say I lost interest, but that's not the point.
